Although the repair and gradual replacement of outdated equipment at the treatment facilities began more than a year ago, the reconstruction is unlikely to be completed before 2022
According to the regional administration, over the past year, 546 million rubles were allocated for these purposes, including 475 million from the federal treasury. This made it possible to reconstruct the sand trap service buildings, the blower unit, the sludge pumping station and a number of other facilities. Currently, the construction of a pre-aerator, aeration tanks, a post-treatment unit and primary sedimentation tanks is underway.
As noted by the head of the construction committee of the Kursk region, Roman Denisov, the amount of work in 2021 will depend on the amount of assistance from the federal center. This issue is being discussed with representatives of the Ministry of Construction of Russia.
