A resident of Great Britain wanted to enlarge her lips and developed a purulent infection. This was reported by The Mirror.
Jessica Bennett from Sandiacre, Derbyshire, underwent lip augmentation. After a 24-year-old was injected with one millimeter of filler, her lips puffed out.
“I looked like a duck. The lips were very hot, they were pinched violently, and they were hard. I took anti-inflammatory drugs, but they did not help,”she said. The doctors answered all the questions to the British woman that in the first days after the procedure, the lips may swell a little. A few days later, pus flowed out of them, and Bennett turned to another doctor.
A week later, the girl posted a photo of her swollen lips on social networks. A doctor came to her in a commentary and offered his help, Bennett gladly accepted the offer. The doctor removed the filler from the British woman's lower lip. She will have to take a course of antibiotics and get rid of the injectable fillers in her upper lip.
Bennett has been practicing filler injections since he was 18, repeating the procedure three or four times a year. At the age of 20, she underwent surgery to correct the shape of her breasts after childbirth and a buttock lift: “I do not regret any surgery. And I will not give up fillers. But I, like many girls, wanted to do it all closer and cheaper and paid for it."
The British Association of Plastic Surgeons advised to carefully study all the features of operations, their side effects and check whether the surgeons are registered in the register of doctors. Its representatives noted that non-surgical procedures such as fillers are not regulated, so the patient should be especially vigilant.
