DUBLIN, December 17. / TASS /. Irish Prime Minister Michol Martin will restrict movement and social contacts after reporting a positive coronavirus test from French President Emmanuel Macron. This is stated in the official statement of the prime minister's administration, circulated on Thursday.

"The Prime Minister of Ireland, like the President of France, attended the meetings of the European Council in Brussels last week," the document says. "After the announcement of Emmanuel Macron's positive test for COVID-19, Michol Martin will restrict his movement."

The press service clarified that the head of the Irish government will pass a coronavirus test in the near future. "All events scheduled for the afternoon with his participation will be postponed until the announcement of the test results," the administration said in a statement.
