Many took the girl's “makeover” with makeup and photo editors as a joke, but on October 5, 2019, Iranian police arrested her along with three other women who had become famous on Instagram.
Khishwand was accused of blasphemy, incitement to violence, generating income in unacceptable ways, and encouraging corruption among young people.
Fatime became famous in 2017. Then it was reported that she allegedly underwent 50 operations to make her look like the American actress Angelina Jolie. However, later the girl said that she managed to achieve such an appearance solely thanks to makeup and photoshop.
For her unusual appearance she was nicknamed "Zombie - Angelina Jolie". Fatima had almost half a million subscribers, according to the publication.
In July 2019, Khishwand revealed her real appearance for the first time, clarifying that she had no ambition to be like Jolie.
