Using a new type of battery and a new front and rear will change the battery pack itself. In turn, the middle part of the car will also change, since many traditional power and body elements will no longer be necessary. The central part of the machine, without many prefabricated units, will provide a rigid connection between the front and rear of the machine.
Immediate prospects. By developing such an innovative car, Tesla is taking significant risks. This is recognized by Elon Musk. But if the production experiment with Tesla Model Y turns out to be successful, then after Giga Berlin the developments will be transferred to other factories:
- Tesla Factory in Fremont;
- Giga Factory in China.
The launch of production near Berlin is scheduled for mid-2021. At the same time, so far, Tesla has consistently and timely gone through all the stages. Therefore, there can be no doubts about the launch of the plant next summer.
Along with the launch of a new production, the issue of lowering the price of the model is also being resolved. Provided that the price level reaches 25 thousand dollars, Tesla's market prospects increase significantly.
