The scandalous dismantling of the Christmas tree decoration continued the discord among the residents of the Ukrainian capital.

The head of the design company "Folk Ukraine" Igor Dobrutskiy commented to the Ukrainian edition "Strana" the scandalous story around the "fashionable New Year tree" on Sophia Square in Kiev.

Let us remind you that the top of the current main New Year tree in Ukraine - the "witch's hat", which was installed, caused a flurry of criticism not only from part of the Kievites, but also from residents of other Ukrainian regions.

Opponents of the Kiev "hat" compared it with the headdress from "Harry Potter", and with "Zelensky's clown cap - a clown on a throne, a hat on a Christmas tree", and with "a certain rubber product."

In addition, representatives of Christian communities considered the "witch's" hat an outrage against faith and the traditional image of the Christmas tree.

“I am personally offended that I did not defend the idea. I don't understand what some citizens found offensive in the hat. It's just creativity and so much aggression. There should be no politics or religion on the Christmas tree - this is a New Year's fairy tale! We have such a time in Ukraine now: a bear on a Christmas tree is not allowed - he is Russian! Santa Claus is not allowed - he is Soviet!”- complained the specified Christmas tree designer.

Earlier, "SP" wrote that Ukrainian activists were shocked by the production of Christmas tree decorations with the symbols of the Russian Army.
