The woman told how the cosmetic procedure left her with her lips in the form of "sausages". The Daily Mail journalists drew attention to the broadcast of the TV show "The Truth About Beauty Treatments" on the BBC.
Following a friend's recommendation, Emma from the Midlands signed up for a lip augmentation procedure with a specialist she knew. Upon returning home, her lips began to swell, but the inept doctor convinced the girl that it was "normal."
The patient was unhappy with her appearance, so she returned to the clinic for a second session. An unskilled surgeon, in turn, injected her with three more doses of filler, as a result of which the heroine developed scars and swelling.
Later, the woman turned to the Save Face organization, where she found a professional specialist who managed to fix the problem. The surgeon removed the fillers by dissolving the chemical inside the patient's lips. “I can already see the difference. I cry with happiness, because I have been waiting for this day for two years. I feel that this is the first step towards a new self,”she said.
During a conversation with TV host Dr. Michael Mosley, Emma admitted that she compared her lips to sausages and thought that she would never be able to return them to their previous appearance.
This is not the first time patients have shared stories of failed surgeries. In July, 22-year-old Chloe McMahon complained about a self-taught beautician who "turned her lips into sausages." According to the girl, after visiting a beauty salon, her lips were swollen several times and began to hurt. At the same time, the employees refused to return the funds and offered to make another injection free of charge.
