The alcoholic ice cream brand Alcreme has been heavily criticized online for its ads that used nude models. The Sostav edition drew attention to the scandal.
The Instagram ad campaign began in mid-September and continues to this day. Employees post images of the product in front of fully or partially nude female bodies. "Adult ice cream - adult photos," says the caption to the first picture in the series.
Commentators called the pictures vile and sexist, suggesting that the advertising campaign was created by a group of teenagers concerned about the structure of the female body. Some claimed that they vomited while viewing the photo.
The majority of subscribers criticized the brand and called for a boycott of products that are trying to gain popularity through the scandal. However, some noticed that the advertisers were excellent at provoking the audience. The employees of Alcreme themselves stated in one of the comments that the main character of all the pictures is ice cream.
Representatives of the brand also noted that everything is vital in this promo: "Hundreds of comments and thousands of views, and all because of the spread legs: just like in life, no one is looking at your face now." On accusations of sexism, they said they would soon publish pictures with male models.
