MOSCOW, January 28. / TASS /. The open casting of the Miss Russia contest will take place on February 8 at the Metropolis shopping center in Moscow. Russian women aged 18 to 23 years old and 173 cm tall will be able to take part in it, the press service of the competition reported on Monday.
"This year, the national beauty contest will hold an open casting on February 8 at 13.00 in one of the most pleasant places for shopping in Moscow - in the Metropolis shopping center, at Leningradskoe shosse, 16A, p. 8," the message says.
The participants will be judged by the jury, which will include Miss Russia 2007 and Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova, Miss Russia 2015 and Vice-Miss World 2015 Sofia Nikitchuk, Miss Russia 2006 Tatyana Kotova, competition director Anastasia Belyak.
According to the casting conditions, the participant must be single, not divorced and without children. In addition, the girl should not have tattoos, bad habits, erotic photography and video filming, and the absence of legal responsibility to government agencies is also required.
Miss Russia is an annual Russian beauty pageant, first held in Paris in 1927. Initially, only Russian emigrants took part in it.
In the Soviet Union, the competition was revived in 1989 under the name "Miss USSR". From that moment on, it takes place annually in Moscow. Since 2016, the competition has been patronized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
