At a press conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on the dissatisfaction of a part of the Russian public with the conclusion of an agreement on a ceasefire in Karabakh between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to him, when "idle analysts" begin reasoning in the spirit of "who won and who lost and which territories are torn off", then such conclusions are not worthy of serious comment. In this regard, Lavrov recalled an old anecdote from the series “Armenian radio answers”.
“You know, some anatomical analogies in relation to politics have already become fashionable in our country.- said the minister. - And now, if we talk about Armenia, the Armenian radio at one time answered the question in the Soviet Union "What is the difference between some parts of the human body and life?" The response of the Armenian radio sounded like this: "Life is tougher". Therefore, all the arguments about who lost what and what could have torn off even more, - it's all from the same series, when all politics and everything that happens in the world is perceived from the point of view of a zero-sum game: if I beat you, it means I'm cool ".

Earlier, Lavrov said that the agreement on a ceasefire in Karabakh does not provide for the introduction of any other peacekeepers into the region, except for Russian ones. Thus, all talks about the possible presence of Turkish servicemen in Karabakh do not deserve any attention, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.
The aggravation of the conflict between Yerevan and Baku in Nagorno-Karabakh occurred at the end of September. The sides accused each other of shelling border settlements, calling the attack of the opposite side the cause of the conflict. Martial law was introduced in Armenia and Azerbaijan and mobilization was declared. The parties to the conflict several times reached ceasefire agreements, but they were violated several hours later.
On November 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed an agreement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document provides for the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the region. They will control the entire contact line and the Lachin corridor. The Armenian military must leave the unrecognized republic. In addition, Yerevan is obliged to return a number of regions of Nagorno-Karabakh under Baku's control.
