Although, according to all gerontologists (scientists who deal with the problem of aging), so far no comprehensive attention has been paid to the aging process. And instead of working to stay healthy and active throughout life, we are waiting for the typical age-related diseases - cardiovascular, cognitive diseases, diabetes and even cancer.

This is ridiculous as more and more researchers are beginning to realize that aging is the main risk factor for diabetes, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's, and that there is something in the aging process itself that links all of these diseases. Each of them begins imperceptibly and develops over a long time without any obvious symptoms. Dysfunctions at the cellular level, leading to Alzheimer's disease, begin decades before cognitive changes are noticeable; the same goes for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. In other words, when we realize that we are sick, it is too late to cure the disease. So why don't we try to look deeper - to understand what exactly makes us vulnerable to these diseases during aging?

Having started to investigate the problem, experts have discovered a lot of interesting things. For example:

Hormone therapy is not the answer

For a long time, it was believed that hormonal injections are urgently needed during menopause in women and andropause in men.

Hormone therapy is an attempt to address one of the most obvious problems of aging: we are decrepit. We are losing our vitality. Men become less masculine and women less feminine. Estrogen is a wonderful substance; it makes a woman's body fertile and attractive, with smooth skin and mouth-watering curves, while testosterone provides men with prominent muscles, masculine strength and self-confidence. Intermittent fasting or cutting your diet to 25% of your normal daily intake will suppress the production of growth hormone and TOR protein, two of the main drivers of cellular aging, according to researchers. What can you do to live longer?
