Myth 1: we store cream products for six months, dry - for a year
Let's agree right away: each product has two expiration dates. One is closed (indicated on the package as a date), the other is open (usually indicated on the icon in the form of an open jar on the product itself). It is logical that after opening the product is stored less.
Nevertheless, for each product, the shelf life is individual and depends on its composition and storage conditions. For example, storing face cream in the bathroom or in direct sunlight can deteriorate faster. In general, the statement is correct, but if you do not comply with the conditions, the deadline is shortened.
Myth 2: if you don't know the deadline, see the batch code

Myth 4: droplets on lipstick - it's time to trash
In fact, this is a completely normal reaction of the wax base to excessive heat or cold (which is why it is recommended to store the lipstick in a cool, shaded place). If you notice such condensation on time, this will not affect the quality of the product.
The main thing is to monitor the texture, color and smell: as long as they do not change, everything is in order. But if lipstick or gloss began to exfoliate and lie down in lumps or smell unhealthy, this is already an alarming signal.
Myth 5: expired mascara causes watery and red eyes
Indeed, it is better not to store open mascara for longer than 2 months. And it's not only about the threatening irritation from the bacteria that multiply there, but about the quality. Opened mascara quickly deteriorates, lumps and dries. In this case, we will not see fluffy and long cilia.
