Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko drew the attention of Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov to the fact that there are no women among his deputies. This is reported by TASS.

Valentina Matvienko made the corresponding statement at a solemn event on the occasion of the 299th anniversary of the founding of the Russian prosecutor's office.

“There is not a single woman among the deputy prosecutor generals, Igor Viktorovich, but such a bias, a bias towards strengthening the social protection of citizens, it seems to me, is better than women,” said the speaker of the chamber. - Today it was very pleasant to see so many worthy, beautiful, professional women who received state awards, and I know that a high percentage of women work in the prosecutor's office. Why not a single deputy attorney general? Please think about this topic."

Earlier Valentina Matvienko stated the need to more actively involve women in solving world problems. According to her, it is women who feel more acutely responsibility for the lives of children, for humanitarian policy. “I am sure that the world is tired of brutal politics - the era of soft power is coming, where women will play a special role,” she said.
