A leading London plastic surgeon has revealed the secret of the perfect lip shape, reports the Independent.
Julian De Silva believes that the lips of the American singer Taylor Swift are close to perfection. “Taylor has the gorgeous full lips and the curve that so many women are trying to achieve,” the doctor added.
He explained that lips begin to lose their natural plumpness after age 28 due to a decrease in collagen and hyaluronic acid. According to him, quitting smoking and reducing the number of hours spent in the sun helps to slow down this process.
According to a statistical study conducted by the Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, the shape of the mouth is considered ideal when the upper and lower lips are completely symmetrical. The respondents were asked to choose the ratio of sizes that was best in their opinion, and 60 percent voted for a ratio of 1: 1.
