In 2009, Jeffrey released his first and only studio album, Beauty Killer (later he will call the palette that way). It included a song with Nicki Minaj Lollipop Luxury. In 2014, he launched his own brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, with the help of ex-girlfriend Kat Won Dee. The brand quickly became popular. Meets basketball player Andre Markhold
After breaking up a five-year relationship with ex-boyfriend Nathan in January 2019, Jeffrey decided to move on. In August 2020, he officially announced on Instagram about his relationship with Andre Markhold.

Disagreements with Kylie Jenner
This feud has been going on for many years. It started in April 2016 when Jeffrey spoke unflatteringly about Kylie's lip gloss. Kylie Cosmetics just launched and some people who ordered the product received defective applicators. Jeffrey posted the photos, saying he was disappointed. Kylie, on the other hand, perceived his messages as feedback, and not as an attempt to start a scandal, and said that she was working on fixing the product.
Since then, Jeffrey has consistently appealed to Kylie and the quality of her products, telling subscribers that they are just paying for an over-hyped celebrity name.

Scandals and controversies
Jeffrey accused Too Faced founder Jarrod Blandino of underpaying beauty blogger Nikkie Tutorials (with whom he also feuded at one point) and fell out heavily with fellow Manny MUA makeup artists Gutierrez, Gabby Zamora, Laura Lee and Nikita Dragoon.
He was also accused of racism (but he later apologized for that) due to a racist video posted by Jeffrey on Myspace. He received backlash for racist comments he made over the years against other beauty bloggers, including allegedly calling Jackie Ainu a "gorilla."
In 2020, Jackie joined other beauty influencers to spearhead a protest against Morphe, urging the brand to stop selling Jeffree Star Cosmetics. As a result, Morphe announced that they had severed ties with Jeffrey and his brand.
Kim Kardashian came to his defense
When news of Jeffrey's alleged racist comments appeared on MySpace, Kim reached out to the audience to protect Jeffrey. She said that a person should not be judged for comments they have left in the past.
But in the end, she backed down and apologized for protecting him, explaining that she had no intention of offending anyone.
Quarrel with Kat Won Dee
Jeffrey Star was friends with Kat von Dee for almost ten years, who helped him promote his cosmetic line. Their friendship completely evaporated in 2016. Then Kat said that Jeffrey did not pay for the work of graphic designer BJ Betts (he came up with the same logo in the shape of a star). Frustrated, Jeffrey began to claim that Kat had never endorsed him or his brand. He even made a half-hour video about it.
