They wanted to fire a teacher from one of the schools in Barnaul for a photo in a sports swimsuit, which the woman posted on a social network. On Wednesday, February 6, the local TV channel "Katun 24" reported this on Instagram.
Russian language and literature teacher Tatiana Kuvshinnikova is a member of the Winter Swimming Federation. The photo was taken at Lake Pionerskoye during an action in support of the Winter Universiade.
According to the teacher, the picture angered the parents of one of the students, who complained to the headmaster. The latter asked the teacher to write a statement of her own free will. When the parents of other students found out about this, they turned to the director with a petition, and they did not deprive Kuvshinnikov of his job.
In December 2018, it was reported that Moscow physics teacher Dmitry Vetchinnikov was fired because of a video in which he, while still a student, is shown in his underpants. The 25-year-old teacher filed a lawsuit against the school. His students supported him. The man spoke about the existence of the video when applying for a job, and this did not become an obstacle to his hiring.
In June last year, history teacher Victoria Popova from the Omsk region was fired because of a photoset in a swimsuit. This case received a wide public response. Teachers from all over the country staged a flash mob in support of a colleague, posting pictures under the hashtag #teacherypeople.
After Popova's meeting with the head of the regional Ministry of Health and the director of the school, the woman was again hired to her previous job.
