First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Health Protection Committee Sergei Furgal (LDPR) considers it dangerous to tattoo scars from domestic violence, which is planned as part of the "Rebirth" project of tattoo artist from Ufa Yevgenia Zakhar, as this, according to the deputy, can lead to cancer skin. He reported this to the Moscow City News Agency.
“Tattoo is a very harmful manipulation in itself. The application of ink to the epidermis can cause very serious consequences, up to and including skin cancer,”Furgal said.
However, he noted that there are more effective ways to hide the traces of violence. “If you want to remove scars, there are cosmetic procedures, plastic surgeries and so on. How can a facial scar be removed with a tattoo? One does not fit in with the other,”S. Furgal explained.
As previously reported, within the framework of the “Rebirth” project, the tattoo artist from Ufa E. Zakhar plans to go on a motorcycle race through the cities of Russia to get tattoos on the scars of victims of domestic violence for free. As part of the tour, E. Zakhar can visit 20 cities. Information about the motocross is posted on her VKontakte page.
