As a result, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case for abuse of office by the Lgov administration.
But the series of troubles for Vladimir Vorobyov did not end there. Already in December 2020, he was placed under house arrest, as he is suspected of misappropriating funds from the city budget. Recall, according to the investigation, in April, by order of the head of Lgov, the directors of the city secondary school 1, secondary school 2 and secondary school 4 concluded contracts for the fictitious supply of construction materials.
Now it became known that on the basis of V. V. Vorobyov, the Lgov City Council of Deputies decided to terminate his powers ahead of schedule, in connection with his resignation at his own request. Deputy Head of the Administration of the city of Lgov, Kursk region, Aleksey Evgenievich Savenkov was appointed as acting interim.
