About the special foundation and rituals before performances

I do the stage make-up myself, without the help of makeup artists, as for me it has turned into a kind of ritual. The process is brought to automatism and takes me a little time - 20-25 minutes.

The peculiarity of this make-up is that it highlights your facial features too much. Long and fluffy false eyelashes, active contouring - stronger, brighter, more than on film or TV.

But in everyday life I make a very light make-up: I draw thin arrows, tint my eyelashes with mascara, and apply a simple hygienic lipstick on my lips. Plus, I use a foundation. For the best effect, I mix products from different brands. These are usually Clinique, L'Oreal, Tom Ford and Urban Decay.

My cosmetic bag always contains foundation, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and blush.

About yeast wigs and masks

Before going on stage, my theatrical hairdresser always does my styling, as I have to work with complex hairstyles, and sometimes I even need wigs.

To keep my hair healthy, I use products from one American brand, I also regularly use vitamins and make various masks.

I especially like homemade, homemade ones. For example, I mix yolk, honey, burdock oil, yeast solution, sometimes I add cognac and put it all on my hair. Works flawlessly!

About Japanese cosmetics

I really like Japanese cosmetics for cleansing the skin of the face, so when I go to Japan, I definitely buy a lot of beauty products there, in particular, face masks.

They are sold in packs of one hundred. One such package is enough for me for three months, and I buy them for a whole year in advance! I use them every day, because they nourish the skin very well and relieve puffiness. By the way, these masks are now available even in our stores or by purchasing online.

About nails, prohibitions and pedicure

In the Bolshoi Theater, in no case should I go on stage with a bright manicure, but otherwise anything can be applied to my nails. I love pastel colors or a jacket, which is almost always on me now.

For quite a long time I have been wearing the "soft square" shape, I really like it.

Some ballerinas do not trust their feet to pedicure masters, because they are afraid, however, I admit, I never do a pedicure myself, I prefer to go to proven beauty salons.

About your favorite perfume and dislike for Dolce & Gabbana

I always wear perfume, even when I go on stage. I like citrus notes, for example Hermes. I can’t stand the aroma of 3 L'Imperatrice from Dolce & Gabbana; to be honest, it even makes me sick.

For many years I have been using a perfume called Amouage Silver, this is absolutely my scent. He is no longer just associated with me, but I am associated with him! This is because I'm the only one in the theater who wears it. I think that no one will want to use it anymore, because as soon as they smell a similar smell, everyone says: “Oh! It was Kretova!"
