Theater and film actress Daria Pogodina - about the actions that we do every day, unaware of the damage we are doing to our curls

Many girls are accustomed to taking care of their hair according to a fairly standard scenario: wash their hair twice with shampoo, then apply conditioner and hair balm, sometimes using different masks. If you take into account all the negative factors affecting the hair, this care will not be enough. Attempts to maintain the beauty and health of our hair are thwarted by the actions we do day in and day out, unaware of the harm they cause. Theater and film actress Daria Pogodina spoke about 5 habits that spoil your hair.

1. Application of shampoo along the entire length of the hair

Apply shampoo to the scalp, rinsing the hair with massaging movements. The foam that forms from the product itself is distributed with water along the length of the hair. In order to thoroughly rinse your hair, you do not need to bathe it in shampoo, because it relieves the scalp and roots from sebaceous secretions, while abundant application can provoke brittle and dry hair, especially at their ends.

2. Combing wet hair

As convenient as it is, only dry hair should be combed. If you want to avoid highly tangled strands, comb your hair thoroughly just before showering. At the same time, you only need to wash your hair with gentle movements, massaging the scalp, then the hair will not get tangled, and it will be easy for you to start styling.

3. Spin the hair before applying the emollient

To be honest, I myself did this, as it also seemed to me that the conditioner or balm was not absorbed well because of the water. Until one day a professional hair stylist told me that water conducts the product, allowing it to spread evenly without missing strands. And when you do this on wrung-out hair, some strands remain unused. The composition of balsams and conditioners is designed specifically for contact with water and works great without far-fetched manipulations.

4. Rubbing hair with a towel

To speed up the drying process, many people rub their hair with a towel after shampooing. This should not be done under any circumstances! Rubbing your hair vigorously reveals its scales. When closed, hair shines, reflects light, looks smooth and healthy. When hair scales are damaged and exposed, hair frizzy, tarnishes and looks bad with any style. Simply blot your hair lightly with a towel, doing it gently from roots to ends.

5. Sleep with a ponytail

The rubber bands we use are not all that safe. They break their hair because they pull on it too much. And if you also sleep with a high ponytail, then, combing in the morning, you will find a whole clump of hair that has fallen out on the comb. The best option for a night hairstyle would be a relaxed braid.
