The mission to remain always young / young in the frame can be safely considered impracticable. Tom Cruise is a living example of this.

By subscribing to the acting profession, a girl or a young man simultaneously sells his soul not only to the devil, but also to a plastic surgeon who takes on the responsibility of maintaining the youth and beauty of a famous customer. Not all professionals are ready to take on this work, since there are a lot of pitfalls in the maintenance of the actors' appearance.

The main (and very fair!) Task that I get from such patients is to look natural on the screen. Nobody wants to grow old - that's a fact! But even less want to become a public laughingstock caught in awkward attempts to rejuvenate. And in close-ups in the HD era, even the thinnest suture from surgery, unsuccessfully enlarged cheekbones or lips, instantly becomes the property of the public. However, actors invest in their appearance, and they invest a lot. What exactly are movie stars doing to themselves?

1) Endoscopic midface lift

The stars try to do all operations and supporting procedures in the intervals between shots. The more popular the artist, the more work he has and the less free time. A procedure such as an endoscopic midface lift requires a separate “leave”. Namely, with this surgical manipulation, many actors begin after 35 years. The middle zone of the face descends first: such elements of aging appear as deep lacrimal grooves, bags and blue under the eyes, nasolabial folds, a weighted lower third of the face. Endolifting of the middle zone eliminates all these problems in one procedure, and the seams are hidden in the mouth and at the temples (no more than 1.5-2 centimeters).

2) Deep revitalization course

Theater and film actors need to constantly work to improve skin color and strengthen its elasticity. Glue from plastic makeup, thick layers of foundation (which, when mixed with constant “dusting”, creates the effect of a toxic greenhouse on the skin) - all this contributes to microinflammation of the skin. Focuses of rashes appear, the thin skin of the eyelids is stretched, the skin tone becomes gray and rosacea (capillary network on the face) occurs. The most advanced dermatologists and plastic surgeons working with the stars have long had an arsenal of tools for this case. As a rule, the patient, first of all, is offered to undergo a course of deep revitalization or skin reinforcement with the latest preparations containing hyaluronic acid of different density (for different areas on the face) and calcium hydroxyapatite (0.1-1%). If hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to skin cells and smoothes fine wrinkles, then microscopic calcium particles help to strengthen the bonds between cells, increasing the elastic properties of the skin. Plastic surgeons with a name take up to 10-15 thousand dollars for such a recovery program, and this is no accident. Even the simplest hyaluronic acid has a dozen varieties, and the most important thing is the concentration of the filler in the syringe. By choosing the wrong density of the material, you will get persistent swelling on the face, which will be exaggerated by the camera lens. Nicole Kidman once had such a bad experience, and in the film "Australia" her character (she played a noble lady) had a noticeably swollen face.

3) Meso-botox

Botox is our everything. However, actors need to be especially careful with it. Mimicry is an integral companion of acting plastics and script movement. Sadness, joy, surprise - all this is difficult to express when half of your face does not move. Therefore, between shoots, the so-called meso-botox procedures have proven themselves best, which allow the face to relax. The doctor dilutes a very concentrated solution of botulinum toxin and pricks the face using a special technique in a micro-dosage at different depths. This allows you to remove fine and medium wrinkles by relaxing the superficial muscle fibers and not affect the larger facial muscles under the skin. As a result, the face becomes fresher and younger, while maintaining facial expressions and naturalness.

4) Contour correction with dense fillers

It is great for rejuvenating male faces, provided that the face is thin. The fact is that in slender men, over time, the volume of adipose tissue in the cheek-zygomatic region is very much lost. As a result, the face takes on a devilish and very aging look. Sculptural fillers (also called liquid implants) correct these age-related manifestations. It is better to perform this procedure with the hands of a plastic surgeon, since preparations of this density should be injected very deeply (actually into the bone), therefore, the knowledge of anatomy must be perfect. An incorrectly placed dense filler can move out of the injection zone with strong acting facial expressions, which should also always be taken into account when performing rejuvenation.

5) SMAS lifting

Older actors may consider more drastic measures than contouring. The so-called SMAS-lifting differs from the outdated facial skin tightening in that the surgeon moves not so much the skin as the muscles and axillary structures. The cost of such an operation can go up to 30-40 thousand dollars, but it's worth it. It is important how accurately the surgeon works with the deep structures of the face (including fatty ones) so as not to make the face flat after the operation. The texture of the face is emphasized by cinematic light, therefore, if the volumes of the face are modeled illiterately, it becomes flat, stretched and artificial. Such trifles as the location of the seams behind the ear tragus and in the folds behind it, allow the actress to calmly comb her hair up, without risking being seen in plastic manipulations. Facial plastic surgery for male actors is a special skill of plastic surgeons. It requires a combination of endoscopic techniques with SMAS lifting - all in one operation. Men after forty, as a rule, begin to go bald, so the sutures should be especially scrupulously sutured using microsurgical techniques.

6) Hollywood platysmoplasty (or Hollywood neck lift)

This is an operation after which you can forever forget about a double chin and a fuzzy cervico-chin angle. The operation at one time really gained popularity among film actors due to the fact that it became a real salvation in the "close-ups". A well-defined contour of the face has always been an element of attractiveness, youth, freshness of the face. Moreover, if performed correctly, this operation optically lengthens the neck, which is also a great aesthetic advantage. Conventional liposuction and thread lifting cannot achieve such an effect, so you should be wary of promotional offers to get rid of a double chin “at lunchtime”.
