Ksenia Delnik, Managing Director of the Institute of Plastic Surgery in Moscow, spoke about the quality of plastic surgery in Russia, in an interview with NEWS.ru.
The expert believes that most Russians undergo rhinoplasty - surgery on the nose and eyes and blepharoplasty - an operation to change the shape of the eyelids. A circular facelift is also in demand. Many do such operations in small regional clinics, where there is not much experience in such work, so the quality suffers.
- Patients do not pay attention to whether they receive a check, whether they sign an agreement, they do not check the document on the surgeon's education, whether the clinic has a medical license. According to the law on the protection of consumer rights, all this must be provided at the oral request of the patient, - said Delnik.
The specialist recommends that patients who go on beauty tourism to the regions carefully check all the necessary documents at the clinic, so that later they do not pay twice as much for a second operation.
