Over the next eight years, the French company plans to bring its cars to the premium segment and reach the level of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. For this, a brand re-equipment plan was developed, which will be implemented as early as next year. So Renault wants to achieve an increase in demand for its cars, reduced against the backdrop of the pandemic.
It is assumed that with a fortunate coincidence, the Renault brand will join the premium car market. To achieve these goals, the automaker will have to revise its costs in order to reduce them by more than 2 billion. The company's management is realistic about the current conditions, but hopes that improvements can be made. How this will happen in detail is not yet known, but the basic principles of action can be presented on the basis of numerous reports and statements from brand representatives. First, it is planned to improve the image of the Renault brand. To do this, you will have to abandon small and inexpensive cars and transfer them to Dacia, a division in Romania. This shows that Renault, even by lowering sales, can improve profitability. Alpine will become Renault's new Formula 1 name from next year and will launch several electric sports cars in the future.
