British stylists have named the tools at hand that can be used to lighten hair at home during the self-isolation regime introduced due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Their advice is revealed in The Sun.

One of the most effective ways, according to experts, is natural highlighting using citric acid.

“If you have naturally blonde hair, lemon juice will make it even lighter. To do this, you need to apply it to the strands, and then spend some time in the sun,”explained Alex Brownsell, co-founder of the London beauty brand Bleach London.

However, the specialist warned that the acid contained in lemon juice can remove vital keratin from the hair and thus destroy its structure.

Apple cider vinegar has a similar brightening effect. To properly dye your hair with vinegar, you need to dilute it in a bottle of water in equal proportions. The resulting solution must be applied to the hair several times during the month to achieve maximum effect.

For the same purposes, experts recommend using baking soda or honey diluted in water.

The mixture must be applied to the head with massage movements, then collect the hair in a bun, leave it in this form for an hour, and then rinse with water.

In May, during the self-isolation regime, a new beauty trend appeared among the models: they massively dyed their hair in two different colors. Popular models Georgia May Jagger, Ruby Rose, Sabrina Diamond and Pixie Geldof decided to experiment with changing their appearance. For example, Australian supermodel and TV presenter Ruby Rose cut her hair almost completely and dyed one half pink and the other blue.
