“The first flight of the Il-114-300 is the result of the colossal work of tens of thousands of people - scientists, engineers, specialists working in the design bureaus [design bureaus] and at the plants of the United Aircraft Corporation, at the enterprises of our suppliers and partners. The emergence of a new regional turboprop aircraft opens up new prospects for the Russian civil aircraft industry,”said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of the United Aircraft Building Corporation (UAC).

The aircraft is equipped with new Russian TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines. They are designed and manufactured by the United Engine Corporation (UEC), a subsidiary of Rostec. The power plant develops up to 3.1 thousand horsepower during takeoff. In its class, this engine is the best in all parameters that determine the economic feasibility of choosing a power plant for a passenger aircraft, the state corporation noted.

According to the general director of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, the airliner is adapted to operate in the harsh conditions of the North, Siberia, and the Far East and can become a "base machine" for the development of regional transportation. In 2022, it is planned to complete its certification, and from 2023 - to begin serial deliveries.

Il-114 is a Russian passenger aircraft developed at the Ilyushin Aviation Complex, from a family of twin-engine turboprop airliners for local airlines. Designed for 64 passengers. The flight range is 1.5 thousand kilometers. Il-114 is intended to replace the aircraft of the An-24 family. It can be operated on relatively short concrete runways - 1.3 kilometers.

At the end of March 2019, a new-generation Russian light transport aircraft Il-112V performed its first test flight. The aircraft landed at the airfield of the Voronezh Joint-Stock Aircraft Building Company. The flight duration was about 45 minutes. PJSC "Aviation complex named after S. V. Ilyushin "(PJSC" Il ") published a video of the tests on its YouTube channel.
