Ruslan Davydov, First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, said that in the pre-holiday period, employees of the department issued more than 150 million flowers.
“Over the past few days, we have processed more than a thousand tons a day, which is about 15 million flowers. In total, more than 150 million flowers were decorated during the pre-holiday period - this is a peak load, of course, a peak delivery. With such a volume of flowers, there will definitely be enough,”emphasized Davydov.
According to him, this year, about twice as much flower products are imported into Russia as in the past. All flower products are safe and certified as they pass customs and phytosanitary controls.
“Phytosaniters look at phyto problems in order to ensure that the products are safe from the point of view of agricultural risks. We are looking at the subject of the fiscal component, that is, the cost of a flower, so that there is a reliable declaration, so that specific flowers are declared, and not those that are cheaper, "- the first deputy head of the FCS.
Earlier it was reported that buyers increasingly began to take flowers in pots, in particular, spray roses.
