SIMFEROPOL, January 3 - RIA Novosti Crimea. Over the past day, 220 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the republic. The head of the republic Sergey Aksenov wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"220 cases of coronavirus infection were registered, including eight cases with an asymptomatic course of the disease. Of the total number of cases, 174 were detected when seeking medical help, 46 were among the contacts for previously registered cases," wrote Sergei Aksenov.
During the day, 879 people were examined for a new coronavirus.

As the website RIA Novosti Crimea previously reported, 280 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 1. Of these, 215 were identified when applying for medical help, 65 were among the contact persons for previously registered cases.
Thus, according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the republic has reached 26,027 people. Of these, 20,449 recovered. 3453 people are on outpatient treatment, 2962 are in the hospital. Observators are still empty. Over the past day, seven people have died. The total number of victims of coronavirus in Crimea has reached 531 people.
