The founder of Tinkoff Bank, Oleg Tinkov, sold his stake in the financial marketplace Sravn.ru to the funds Baring Vostok and Goldman Sachs. Write about this "Vedomosti" and vc.ru, referring to representatives of "Sravn.ru".

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (Unified State Register of Legal Entities), Tinkoff Digital has withdrawn from the shareholders of Sravn Holding Limited, which owns the marketplace. This was reported by Vedomosti.

Tinkov and Goldman Sachs financed Sravn.ru in December 2014. Then the service was estimated at five billion dollars, wrote RBC. Sources told the publication that Tinkoff Digital received a controlling stake and an option to increase its stake in Sravn.ru. The project was needed by Oleg Tinkov to promote the insurance business, the interlocutors of the publication suggested.

Sravn.ru was founded in 2009. Tinkoff Digital was created in 2012 as a laboratory for innovative projects for Tinkoff Credit Systems bank, later it became known as Tinkoff Bank. Baring Vostok is a co-owner of the bank since 2012.

On September 22, 2020, Yandex and the TCS Group of Oleg Tinkov's companies announced that they had previously agreed to sell the latter. Kommersant wrote that the deal could be valued at $ 5.5 billion. Tinkov himself said in his Instagram that it would be more accurate to call the deal not a sale, but a merger of the "two best IT companies" in Russia.

On October 16, TCS Group and Yandex announced the cancellation of the merger deal. The shares of both companies fell. Yandex explained that the company could not agree on the final terms of the deal with the main shareholders of Tinkoff, so the parties "made a mutual decision to end the negotiations."

In March 2020, Oleg Tinkov spoke about the acute form of leukemia diagnosed with him. He had to undergo several courses of chemotherapy. The entrepreneur then said that with his business "everything is in order, he is managed by a great team," and he himself left the direct management of the TCS Group. In early April, the businessman announced that he was leaving the post of head of the bank's board of directors to "focus on his health." In July, he began to undergo bone marrow transplants.
