The mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergey Eremin passed a positive test for COVID-19, and therefore switched to a remote mode of operation. The mayor recorded a video message in which he spoke about his state of health. He urged everyone to take care of themselves against the backdrop of the outbreak of coronavirus infection, observe preventive measures and monitor their children, who sometimes behave carelessly in this matter.

“Well, viral bullets are whistling closer and closer. Now it touched me too. I feel fine, I work from home. Now the phone is my best friend, even with my family I have to call back from different rooms”, - wrote Eremin on his Instagram.

Eremin explained that the disease appeared in his family after one of the daughters reported contact with a patient with COVID-19. "Everyone rushed to take tests, and, unfortunately, both of us have positive results," the head of the city specified.

The mayor noted that he always followed preventive measures - he wore a protective mask, washed his hands and used sanitizers, "but then the family factor worked." According to him, he feels fine and is currently in self-isolation at home.

“Friends, take care of yourself! Try to follow simple prevention guidelines to help reduce your risk of illness. And please watch your children, sometimes they behave carelessly , - he concluded.

Earlier, on October 14, the governor of the Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, announced his infection with a coronavirus infection. The head of the region expressed regret at the need to go into self-isolation and switch to remote operation. Burkov noted that the disease is asymptomatic, and declared his readiness to comply with all the prescriptions of doctors. Addressing the residents of the region, the governor urged them to take care of themselves and their loved ones, as well as comply with the requirements of sanitary standards, including not ignoring the mask regime and adhere to social distance.
