UEFA's Head of Operations for the 2020 European Championship, Andreas Schar, commented on the admission of fans to the matches of the tournament.

On February 11-12, the sixth inspection visit of UEFA representatives is taking place in St. Petersburg as part of the city's preparation for the tournament.

Gazprom-Arena was opened in 2017 and is the home stadium for Zenit in the RPL.

The arena has a capacity of 62,315 spectators. Due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection, no more than 25,000 spectators are now allowed into the stands of the stadium in St. Petersburg.

The European Championship will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021 in 12 cities. St. Petersburg will host three group stage matches and one of the quarterfinals of the tournament. Also, the tournament games should be hosted by London, Munich, Baku, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Glasgow, Budapest and Amsterdam.
