In Moscow, federal museums, reserve museums and exhibition organizations will suspend their activities from November 16, 2020 to January 15, 2021 due to the difficult epidemiological situation due to the coronavirus. Also in theaters, concert halls and cinemas, the maximum number of viewers will be reduced to 25%. The corresponding order was issued by the Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova, the press service of the Ministry of Culture reports.

«Suspend from November 16, 2020 to January 15, 2021, inclusively, the functioning of organizations for visitors in buildings, structures, facilities (premises in them), as well as leisure, entertainment, cultural, educational and other events on the territories of organizations», - reported in the order for federal museums, museum-reserves and organizations carrying out exhibition activities.

Lyubimova ordered from November 16 to limit the maximum number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls in Moscow to 25%.

«Ensure from November 16, 2020 to January 15, 2021 inclusive, the organization of events for visitors, ensuring the occupancy of the event venues is no more than 25% of the total capacity of the event venue», - it says in the order.

It is noted that the order of November 11 "On measures aimed at preventing the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the implementation of activities by organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation" becomes invalid. Then temporary exhibitions and group excursions in museums were prohibited.

On November 10, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced new restrictions in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection. By his order, cultural, leisure activities with the participation of spectators, as well as the work of children's day camps and children's entertainment centers were temporarily suspended. The maximum number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls should not exceed 25% of the capacity of the hall. The holding of mass sports events with the participation of spectators is allowed only with the agreement of the city Department of Sports and the capital's department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Most cases of coronavirus in Russia over the past 24 hours were detected in Moscow - 5974 cases. The total number of infections in the capital was 497,516. 4219 people recovered in a day, 70 died. The total number of deaths reached 7643.
