Satirist Mikhail Zhvanetsky died at the age of 87. Colleagues and friends of the artist express their condolences over the loss. Actress Inna Churikova admitted that she still keeps a notebook in which she once wrote down his most ridiculous jokes. Satirist Vladimir Vinokur called the deceased a great writer and citizen of his country. The poet Vadim Zhuk, with whom Zhvanetsky was broadcasting on TV, considers the deceased friend to be one of the creators of the modern Russian language, along with other great writers of the past.
“I have known and loved him since 1968. And I will continue to love - Beetle said in an interview with the Daily Storm. - Because he is a completely unique phenomenon not only of Soviet and Russian, but also of world culture, an impossible combination of Odessa merry [lyricism], Leningrad culture and emphatically Moscow artistic capitalism. "
“Zhvanetsky is not theater, stage and literature. All these concepts easily fit into the name Zhvanetsky. He is alone, on his own. And so he will forever, I hope, remain in the history of the Russian language, in the development of which he took part. We now very often speak in expressions and intonations of Zhvanetsky ", - added the Beetle.
“I'm a fan of him! We had a lot of good, quiet conversations. He is the most unique person - speaks in an interview with the TV channel «360» Churikov. - When people leave, it is always a pity and always a loss. And here - just orphanhood. You will not find this anywhere else. The Lord sent him so that the human breed was rich and felt life, humor, beauty! <…> His humor is just an abyss: elegant, beautiful, incredible. "
Vinokur tried to be most restrained in his obituary for the TV channel "360": “Everyone is in a hurry to be the first. And I hasten to close my eyes and remember the best days of this man - a great writer, a real citizen of this country”.
On October 6, 2020, it became known that the writer completed his concert activity due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the country, as well as due to age. Zhvanetsky's assistant Oleg Stashkevich reported that the program "Duty in the country" was closed back in 2019 due to the fact that the writer did not have enough strength.
