In Naberezhnye Chelny, sanatoriums undergo rehabilitation courses for patients who have recovered from COVID-19. This was reported by the "News of Tatarstan" TV channel TNV.

In the sanatoriums, patients attend massage courses, exercise therapy, breathing exercises, as well as a psychologist.

As of February 15, in Tatarstan, since October 2020, 5,424 patients underwent rehabilitation on the basis of 54 medical and preventive institutions after pneumonia caused by COVID-19.

In the republic, one of the first in Russia to open rehabilitation departments for patients with covid pneumonia.

In January, at the final board of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to develop a rehabilitation program for patients who had had coronavirus. She must take into account all the possible consequences of the disease.

Earlier, KFU experts called the grave consequences of coronavirus disease. Among them: depression, neurocovid, pancreatitis, ulcers and liver damage. Most of all, human immunity suffers from COVID-19. Emma Mukhametshina, deputy chief physician for medical department, head of the therapeutic department of the Kazan University clinic, noted that with a severe form of COVID-19, rehabilitation can take from three to six months.
