New lamps are being installed on the southern approach to the city of Kursk on the section of the Krym - Kursk - Petrin highway
“We will replace the lighting devices with more energy efficient LED ones, and we will also update the control system. Lighting will become intelligent,”said Oleg Efremov, head of the energy supply department of the OKU“Committee for Roads of the Kursk Region”.
According to the committee for transport and highways of the Kursk region, the equipment has passed all tests, has certificates of conformity, the warranty period is 5 years. Modernization will reduce the cost of operating the lighting equipment. The regional administration noted that the modernization is carried out without spending from the budget at the expense of a private investor-contractor.
Under the contract, specialists are modernizing 26 electric lighting lines along regional highways with a total length of about 45 km. More than 1600 old sodium lamps are planned to be replaced with modern LED ones. The work will take place in 8 districts of the region and will be completed by the end of 2020.
