The regional administration summed up the results of the agricultural industry in 2020
The Kursk region for the first time exceeded the harvest of six million tons of grain, the average yield was more than 58 centners per hectare. With this indicator, the region was among the absolute leaders in yield in the Central Federal District and in third place in the country as a whole. In terms of agricultural production, the Kursk region took 3rd place in the Central Federal District and 8th in Russia.
As the governor of Kursk noted, the Shchigrovsky district showed the highest results, where more than 370 thousand tons of grain were harvested, as well as the Rylsky, Kastorensky and Medvensky districts.
According to the regional administration, the region also took first place in the Central Federal District in terms of sugar beet harvest - over 3 million 800 thousand tons. However, if the sugar beet harvest is as high as stated, why have sugar prices skyrocketed in stores? This hit literally all of the Kurds on the wallet.
