Russian nutritionist, doctor of medical sciences Alexei Kovalkov revealed to Russians a way to quickly and correctly lose weight by the New Year. His recommendations appeared on the YouTube channel "Dr. Kovalkov's Weight Correction Clinic".

According to the expert, when losing weight, attention should be paid not to calories, but to the composition of the products.

“If there is little fat in a product, this does not mean that it is healthy,” the nutritionist emphasized. - It all depends not only on fats. A person never grows fat from fats, just as he does not turn green from greens."

Kovalkov recalled the inhabitants of the North, whose diet is 80 percent fat. At the same time, for example, the Chukchi almost never suffer from obesity. A nutritionist advises against losing weight by eating only low-fat foods.

For people who want to get rid of extra pounds in the shortest possible time, a protein-fat diet is ideal, Kovalkov believes. Such nutrition will allow you to quickly and effectively lose weight by the New Year holidays, while a person will not have a "fatty blow" to the liver.

The doctor clarified that you can sit on such a diet for no more than a month. On average, according to Kovalkov's calculations, a protein-fat diet takes up to 150 grams of excess weight per day.

Earlier, nutritionist, gastroenterologist and culinary blogger Nuria Dianova called a way not to gain weight during the New Year holidays - to control the amount of alcohol and fruit consumed. She also listed the most high-calorie dishes on the festive table. Among them were salads Olivier, mimosa and herring under a fur coat.
