Plastic surgery in Russia every year is becoming not only more and more popular, but also affordable. An expert from the Institute of Plastic Surgery, Ksenia Delnik, told the online portal kp.ru why our compatriots began to massively improve their appearance, and also what operations are most in demand among them.

Among the strange requests that have been especially popular in recent years are elven ears. “Our youth are going crazy! A month ago, two friends came and begged for an operation at any cost. We do not perform this operation because we believe that it is not aesthetically beautiful,”Delnik said. According to her, not only women, but also men want to modify their ears: some ask to make them seem to be broken in a fight, believing that this way they will look more brutal.

Another of the most frequent requests is a bifurcation of the tongue and the introduction of implants under the skin to simulate horns, bumps and other body modifications, such procedures are often performed even in ordinary tattoo parlors. In addition, Angelina Jolie and Megan are still considered the standards of female beauty for Russians. Fox with their plump lips from foreign stars, as well as Victoria Lopyreva and Dzhigan's wife Oksana Samoilova from domestic celebrities. In this regard, the most popular operations are still listed as rhinoplasty (nose shape correction) and blepharoplasty. SMAS-lifting (circular facelift) is still relevant.

However, at the same time, the number of people dissatisfied with the results of plastic surgery is growing every year, and they go under the knife again. For example, compared to 2018, requests for aesthetic correction increased by 20%, and this trend is very stable. Among such patients there are both those who simply want to achieve the ideal and are ready to do anything for this, as well as those whose previous operation did not really go well and requires rework.
