A 48-year-old resident of the North Caucasus decided to enlarge her breasts in a cheap way and almost paid for it with her health.
According to the British online portal Daily Mail, referring to Alana Mamaeva's YouTube channel, whose goal is to combat abuse in aesthetic medicine, in 2002 a Russian woman, who chose to remain anonymous, wanted to become the owner of more magnificent forms than those with which she was awarded nature. Therefore, when a friend of her friend offered her to enlarge her breasts with the help of petroleum jelly injections, she, with the support of her husband, agreed to the procedure.
Moreover, the woman herself bought syringes and 6 packs of liquid petroleum jelly at the pharmacy and invited a friend to her home, where she gave her injections even without anesthesia. The result was impressive at first - both she and her husband were very pleased. However, the joy of finding the desired forms did not last long.

After 2 years, the woman became pregnant, and after the birth of the child, the catastrophic consequences of the procedure manifested themselves in all their glory. The Russian woman developed severe mastitis and inflammation, her chest began to ache unbearably and felt like a stone to the touch. And when pus poured out of the opened wound, she was forced to see a doctor.
“The doctors performed an operation to remove the petroleum jelly and said that I had nothing to worry about, I just had to go for dressings. However, I realized that something was wrong, - she admits. - With each dressing, I felt that the wounds were oozing. I was unbearably hurt and ashamed."
The woman admits that, of course, she has more than once regretted what she had done, and begs others not to repeat her mistake, but asks the surgeons to help her get rid of the remains of petroleum jelly from her chest. As a result, a team of plastic surgeons, who decided to help the Russian woman for free as part of a social action, had to remove both mammary glands and part of the lymph nodes to the woman, since the petroleum jelly completely saturated them and turned them into hard, as if petrified, textures. Dr. Vedrov explains that, unfortunately, he had no other choice, but with favorable healing, he promised to give the woman reconstructive mammoplasty in six months.
“Unfortunately, breast augmentation with petroleum jelly products is not uncommon,” he adds. - And it always comes with complications. This can happen in a year or two, at best in three. But as a result, the breasts become inflamed, pus and deformity are formed. The drug permeates all tissues and lies like a stone. But this is not an isolated case, because this woman and dozens of others like her do not need to be criticized or condemned. They have already punished themselves enough."
